Professor Dr. Amitabha Ghose, was a renowned educator and academician who dedicated his life
to the advancement of knowledge and education. Professor Ghose, an Indian Bengali, from
kolkata, pended most of his professional life in different Universities abroad such as
University of London, Germany and many more countries in Europe.
He had an ambition to spend rest of the retired life Nepal. He came to Nepal in the year
1988 from Germany after his retirement. He was the founder of Nagarjuna Group of Educational
Organization. Nagarjuna Institute used to run TOEFL, SAT, GRE, GMAT and computer classes
from early years of its establishment and later O’ A” Level of University of Cambridge. Dr.
Ghose brought four PC (personal Computer) from Germany; and it is believed that Nagarjuna
was the first institute to start computer classes to the public in Kathmandu. His
contributions not only to Nagarjuna College and school but also in Nepal in the education
field will always be remembered and cherished.
